Yes! Once your Simple Syllabus is published, you can find a print button at the top of the page. Use this button to get a PDF copy or print your Simple Syllabus.
What happens to Simple Syllabus when I copy my Canvas course?
Canvas course copies will not impact Simple Syllabus. When the link is clicked, Simple Syllabus recognizes the course and directs the instructor to the correct syllabi. A Canvas course copy will not copy your Simple Syllabus to another course. To copy your Simple Syllabus, use the import function inside Simple Syllabus.

Yes, updates to locked components like essential student information will automatically apply to copied syllabi.
Can I use screenshots of my old syllabus in Simple Syllabus?
No, faculty are asked to build out their syllabus in Simple Syllabus to ensure all content is fully accessible. While it may take time initially, copying syllabi for future terms is quick and easy.
Can Google/Outlook Calendars populate the course schedule with dates?
No, Simple Syllabus can only sync with Canvas assignment dates.
Can we create a materials shopping list for students?
When students login to Simple Syllabus, they’ll be able to access a personalized dashboard displaying the course materials for all courses they're enrolled in. From this dashboard, they can download a printable shopping list of all course materials.
Is there a way to hide my syllabus in the search function?
No, all published syllabi in Simple Syllabus are searchable and public.
Can Simple Syllabus automatically award points in the Canvas Gradebook after a student acknowledges the syllabus?
Not at this time. However, a no-submission assignment can be created for faculty to manually enter points in Canvas.
