Overview

PlayPosit is an interactive video platform that your instructor uses to create engaging learning experiences. Instead of just passively watching videos, you will be asked to answer questions, participate in discussions, and respond to prompts directly within the video. This guide will walk you through the essential steps of using PlayPosit to succeed in your course, from accessing your assignments to viewing your results.

How to Use PlayPosit

Here’s a simple guide to help you navigate PlayPosit and complete your assignments:

  • Accessing Assignments:
    • You will typically find PlayPosit assignments directly within your course's Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas.
    • Look for the assignment link or embedded video player within the module or assignment list provided by your instructor.
  • Starting a "Bulb":
    • A PlayPosit interactive video is called a "Bulb." When you click on the assignment, the bulb will load.
    • Click the "Play" button to begin the video. For help review: Play a Bulb.
    • The video will pause automatically at certain points to prompt you with a question or interaction. To continue, review Resume Playback.
  • Interacting with the Video:
    • When the video pauses, a question or prompt will appear on the screen.
    • Review Answering Interactions and follow the instructions to answer the question, participate in a discussion, or complete the activity.
    • You may be asked to select a multiple-choice answer, type a response, or engage in a peer discussion.
    • After you respond, click "Submit" to continue playing the video.
  • Navigating the Video:
    • You can typically scrub through the video and re-watch sections as needed.
    • However, your instructor may set specific parameters, such as preventing you from fast-forwarding or requiring you to answer a question before proceeding. Pay close attention to any instructions provided.
  • Viewing Your Results:
    • Once you've completed a bulb, you may be able to see your results and feedback immediately. For how review interactions and previous answers
    • Your instructor will have access to your responses and can provide additional feedback. Here's how to view instructor feedback on free responses
    • Your grade will usually be synced automatically with the course gradebook in your LMS, so you don't need to manually submit anything else.
