Can I copy my Gradescope assignment to other sections?
Yes! You can either build an assignment once and copy it to other sections, or duplicate an entire course if you're teaching multiple sections. View Gradescope’s instructions for duplicating an assignment or duplicating a course.
I'm teaching three sections of the same class. Can I scan all the bubble sheets together?
No, please scan and upload each section’s bubble sheets separately. This ensures that Gradescope correctly matches each sheet to the appropriate student and section without errors.
Can I post grades to Canvas without sharing the bubble sheets with students?
Yes, when on the Review Grades page in Gradescope, you'll want to select the option to "Post All Grades to Canvas." Do NOT click "Publish All Grades" as this will release the bubble sheet and rubric (answers) to students.
Where can students find the bubble sheet template to print?
Please direct your students to the Getting Started with Gradescope Bubble Sheets (Students) how-to guide as it contains important instructions on filling out the bubble sheet.
Do students need to write their Banner ID or MyUTSA ID on the bubble sheet?
Students should write their MyUTSA ID (abc123) in the ID field. They should also write their preferred first and last name, as it appears in Canvas, to help ensure correct matching in Gradescope.
How often should I sync my Canvas roster with Gradescope?
We recommend syncing your roster in Gradescope several times throughout the semester. This keeps your student list up to date as students add or drop your course.
Can my TA help grade in Gradescope?
Yes! Add your TA as a TA in Canvas, then sync your Canvas roster in Gradescope. They’ll be automatically added with TA permissions and can assist with grading.
