Overview
Adobe Express is a powerful, user-friendly design tool that enables users of all skill levels to create professional-quality visuals quickly and easily. With Adobe Express, faculty can easily create presentations, flyers, posters, graphics, podcasts, web pages and short videos using simple templates. In addition to creating their own content, faculty can assign projects to students in Adobe Express to help increase their digital literacy and provide easy ways for them to be creative with their projects.
Key Features of Adobe Express
- Templates and Quick Actions: Adobe Express offers access to Adobe stock images, videos and fonts, along with thousands of professionally designed templates for presentations, posters, videos, flyers, and more. Quick Actions allow you to make simple edits like resizing, removing a background, creating a QR code, or converting a video to a GIF with a single click and without a steep learning curve.
- Real-time Collaboration: Adobe Express allows for real-time collaboration, so multiple users can work on the same project simultaneously from different devices. This feature facilitates group projects, promotes teamwork, communication, and shared problem-solving.
- Cross-Platform Access: Projects automatically sync across the web and mobile apps, allowing for seamless creation from anywhere. Students can start a project in the classroom and finish it at home or on the go. This flexibility supports various learning styles and schedules.
- Video and Animation Features: Create dynamic videos by adding text, images, and audio to a simple timeline. Animate characters and add special effects to bring your content to life. This helps students develop storytelling and public speaking skills in a modern, engaging format.
- Generative AI Tools: The tool is integrated with Adobe Firefly generative AI, which allows users to create unique images and text effects from simple text prompts. All AI-generated content is designed with responsible use and safety in mind. Encourage students to use the text-to-image feature to create visual aids for a history report or design a creative title for a short story. This can spark imagination and help students explore new ways of communicating ideas.

- Adobe Express helps students build career-ready skills and improve collaboration with their peers.
How to Integrate Adobe Express into Your Course
- To activate your account, visit the Adobe Account Activation site. Review the options. If you are new to Adobe, choose Adobe Express. Make sure you use your UTSA email to log in. Students will also have to activate their accounts on the same site with their UTSA email. They should also choose Adobe Express.
- Review the Adobe Modules Library or ready-to-use assignment ideas and remixable templates that you can easily adapt and share with students and visit the Adobe Education Exchange for even more ideas.
- When you create an Adobe assignment, make sure students have good instructions, access to additional resources, and understand how to “publish” their assignment for your review.
- Ensure the content you and your students create is accessible to everyone. Review the Six Essentials of Digital Accessibility for valuable tips and best practices for creating accessible content.
-
Encourage your students to:
- Attend Adobe Events at UTSA.
- Join the UTSA Adobe Student Ambassadors.
-
Earn official badges at Adobe Digital Academy.
- Faculty can require students to complete the badge assignments and give them credit when they provide proof. It’s a good idea for faculty to complete the badges themselves so that they can provide good assignment instructions to their students.
