Honorlock is an online exam proctoring solution that helps support academic integrity by combining AI-powered monitoring with human review. Integrated with Canvas at UT San Antonio, Honorlock provides a streamlined testing experience while helping instructors promote secure online assessments.

What seperates Honorlock from other proctoring tools?
Pop-in Proctor is exclusive to Honorlock. A live proctor will work with students if they’re having trouble starting the test or if the AI has flagged a potential issue. The proctors goal is to ensure the student is able to successfully begin and finish their test, reducing faculty support needs.
Search and Destroy continuously scans the internet for your exam questions and notifies you if they are found online. If unauthorized copies are detected, Honorlock can send a cease-and-desist request on your behalf to help protect your assessment content. Easy to add and remove means that Honorlock will not leave your exams unable to be edited or accessed. Turn on or off Honorlock with one-click in your test-options.
Profiles make it easy to ensure your exams have the same settings. Once you’ve created your profiles, you can assign them to a test and all your settings will be set.
Is this a live proctoring service?
No; Honorlock is a hybrid digital tool that utilizes both AI and an on-demand live proctor. The live proctor will not interact with students unless the AI flags a potential issue that requires assessment. AI from a Proctor’s Perspective
Does Honorlock have extension detection technology?
Honorlock has implemented Extension Detection technology to log installed and active extensions at the start of an exam session. This feature is always enabled, and test takers are notified to disable any unauthorized extensions before beginning their assessment. Extensions used for accessibility or other non-harmful purposes will not be flagged or blocked. Honorlock continuously updates its list of blocked extensions to prevent the use of tools like ChatGPT during exams, ensuring a fair testing environment for all test takers.
